Toyota Carina
From AutocadeOriginally, a range of cars slotting in between the Corolla and Corona, on a Celica base, and supposedly sportier than the ranges on either side. Carina saw a shift to front drive in the 1980s, as with Corona, and briefly a range of hardtop sedans called the Carina ED was added to the line-up. However, by the end of the decade, Toyota had turned the Carina into yet another domestic-appliance range, and eventually it was down to a single, four-door sedan body style. Various Coronas also wore the Carina badge, notably in Europe.
