Inside Autocade
Ford S-Max (CD539E). 2015–23 (prod. n/a). 5-door MPV. F/F, 1499, 1999 cm³ petrol, 1995, 1997 cm³ diesel , 2488 cm³–1·1 kWh petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC). Upgraded Mondeo meant a similarly upgraded S-Max, on a heavily revised version of the CD391 platform. The result was by-the-numbers: a competent sporting minivan but no longer a class leader, slightly thirsty with less communicative steering. Decent grip, very refined and still practical.
