From AutocadeBYD Seal DM-i/BYD Seal 07 DM-i. 2023 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 10·08 kWh–1498 cm³, 17·6 kWh–1497 cm³, 17·6 kWh–1498 cm³, 30·7 kWh–1497 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). Previewed in show car form as the Oceanx. Originally previewed as the Quzhujian 07 as BYD planned its Warship series, the DM-i was launched as a sleeker PHEV counterpart to the full-EV Seal. Positioned downmarket from the Han, but with a similar hybrid system, complete with fast charging. Cheaper than rival Honda Accord, but with longer wheelbase (2,900 mm) and better standard equipment. Not as stronger a performer as regular Seal but reasonable fuel economy from the hybrid system. Minimalist interior, rotatable 15·6 in central screen. Renamed Seal 07 DM-i in 2024 for the 2025 model year, with 10·08 kWh battery mated to the 1498 cm³ BYD472QC four (17·6 kWh continued); flagship with 17·6 kWh and 1498 cm³ BYD472ZQB turbo.
