Mazda Sentia (HE) by any other name, created as a rival to Hyundai Dynasty, Daewoo Arcadia, and the upcoming Ssangyong Chairman (1997–2013). Grille’s slats inspired by traditional Korean windows. The most powerful V6 on offer in Korea on launch, with a maximum speed of 230 km/h. Mid-term changes in 2001 to meet new competition from Hyundai (the Equus) and Ssangyong, but failed; biggest V6 discontinued when it failed to meet new emissions’ regulations. Replaced when new owner Hyundai transferred its Dynasty successor to Kia, and the Opirus took over this market segment.
