All-new Sonata, more globally minded in styling and more accepted than predecessor, chalking up motoring awards worldwide. Also built in US. Facelift with larger grille for 2008. Well built with high levels of standard equipment, but ride and cornering not the best. NF code, more prominently used in marketing in Korea, supposedly stood for ‘Never-ending Fame’. Production to 2009 in Korea; China continued in facelifted form (as Sonata Lingxiang) to 2011.
