Senova (紳寶/绅宝) D80. 2015–19 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1799, 1992, 2290 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Saab 9-5 (1997–2010) on steroids, or, D70 with a longer wheelbase (2,830 mm, a 75 mm stretch) for China’s prestige-conscious buyers. Same engines as D70, mated to five-speed automatic gearboxes. Interior dominated by 10·4-inch TFT portrait touchscreen. Rivalled Hongqi H7 and Roewe 950. Some Chinese media reports claimed D80 had a Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse (W212) LWB platform, but none explained how its rear-wheel drive became front-wheel drive or why the wheelbase shrank so drastically.
