From AutocadeMitsubishi Mirage/Eagle Summit (CC). 1991–5 (prod. unknown). 2-door coupé, 3- and 4-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1298, 1834, 1998 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC), 1496, 1597 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC). Rounded fourth-generation Mirage, with distinctive two- and four-door models, the latter with different sheetmetal to Lancer. Three-door hatchback sedan best known, as before. Adequate performance for most models; good ride, but uninspired handling. Less refined than comparable Civics and Corollas and cramped at rear. Built also in the US but with two- and four-door body styles only; sold also as Eagle Summit in US and Canada from 1993 to 1996 model years. From 1995, wound up in Malaysia as the basis for a range of Proton cars (Satria, Wira, Putra, Jumbuck).
