Fourth-generation Impreza, with hatchback dubbed Sport and notchback dubbed G4. Ran alongside third-generation WRX initially, and spun off crossover model, XV. Longer wheelbase (25 mm increase), better outward visibility. Boxer engines again, with more power and better fuel economy. Good, roomy all-rounder, but some engine and road noise. WRX now its own line.
