Subaru Impreza/Subaru Impreza Anesis (GE/GH/GR/GV). 2007–14 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1498, 1994, 2457 cm³ petrol, 1998 cm³ diesel (F4 DOHC), 1994 cm³ (F4 OHC). Larger Impreza, with longer wheelbase, overall length and greater width. Launched to underwhelming reports for its me-too styling, though made good with Impreza’s traditional fans with ever-wilder performance versions, with WRX STI from 2007 (the standard engine getting some 300 PS). Some turbo lag, but only mildly more thirsty than cars of this type. Good ride and handling, with STI the best of the lot; let down slightly with interior feel. Facelifted 2009. Impreza XV, based on the GH hatchback, with raised ride height and extra cladding, débuted in 2010. Regular models replaced 2011, but WRX continued to 2014, minus the Impreza moniker.
