Inspired by the Russian-made Renault Arkana (JC) but on a different platform—CMF-B rather than B0—making the XM3 a relative of the Renault Clio V, a similar relationship to the Russian Renault Kaptur and the western European Renault Captur II. Front-wheel drive only. Improved quality as Samsung hoped to export the XM3 as a Renault to Europe. The more powerful Daimler AG–Renault 1·3 formed the bulk of the orders on the home market. Well equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, parking assist, and other features; interior well put together. Hybrid from 2021. Formally a Renault in Korea from 2022.
