ItalDesign styling, with large hatchback boot. Subtle mid-term facelift 1995. Safety and equipment upgrades through the years. Variable build quality initially, before improving. Reasonably good handling and ride, and roomy for the price. Wound up forming the basis of the first Chery car, the Fengyun.
