Nissan Cedric/YLN Cedric 811/YLN Cedric 830 (Y30). 1983–99 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1974 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1998, 2960 cm³ (V6 OHC), 1998 cm³ LPG, 2792 cm³ diesel (I6 OHC), 2488 cm³ diesel (I4 OHV). More formal looks for Cedric, looking even more upright. Very wide range, with plenty of options, including a radio tuner that could pick up TV channels, and a climate control system for rear-seat passengers operated by a hand-held device. Independent front suspension; sedans had a five-link suspension at rear, and adjustable Super Sonic Suspension available on top sedan and hardtop models. Fiftieth anniversary model in 1983. Facelift in 1985, with mostly cosmetic and equipment changes. Sedan and hardtop replaced 1987 in Japan, though sedan continued in Taiwan till 1994; wagon continued to 1999, with more upscale models progressively deleted. Exported as Nissan 220C, 280C and 300C, depending on capacity; YLN had its licensed versions in Taiwan. Replaced by Maxima in Europe, second-generation Cefiro in Taiwan; wagons replaced by Avenir and Stagea.
