Compact car succeeding the Excel line, with Accent actually an acronym for Advanced Compact Car of Epochmaking New Technology. Very basic in the first generation. The name disappeared on the Korean market before being revived in 2010, but continued to be used for export in the interim. By the time the RB Accent arrived in 2010, the line had evolved into a competent compact car. Russian Solarises were exported as Accents to certain markets.
