From AutocadeChrysler Valiant (VK). 1975–6 (prod. 20,555 all VK). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 3523, 4014, 4342 cm³ (I6 OHV), 5211, 5898 cm³ (V8 OHV). The beginning of the end as big cars fell out of favour after the first fuel crisis. VJ with very minor changes, though Charger now sold as a separate line. Meant to be a stopgap till all-new VL, which never came. New grille and taillights, Hemi sixes now with two-barrel carburettors, responding to emissions’ law, radial tyres, steering column stalk combining lights, indicators and windscreen wipers, and other minor changes. Sedans finally had flow-through ventilation.
