Chrysler (CK). 1975–6 (prod. 20,555 all VK). 4-door sedan, 4-door LWB sedan. F/R, 4342 cm³ (I6 OHV), 5211, 5898 cm³ (V8 OHV). Chrysler’s LWB sedan—the Chrysler by Chrysler—returns for the final time, with the V8 retailing at a hefty A$8,784. Other changes as with regular VK, e.g. two-barrel carburettor for the six, single stalk for lights, indicators and windscreen wipers. Engines tuned for better fuel economy in the wake of the fuel crisis. Only LWB for Australia, but Todds in New Zealand assembled a Chrysler SE, with the short-wheelbase body and CK front and rear ends, similar to the South African model but with 5·2 and 5·9 V8s.
