Chevrolet Onix. 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC). Replacement for sensible Cavalier, on the new GEM (Global Emerging Market) platform, with an uprated (92 kW) triple, up 4 kW on previous unit, in line with its “performance” image. Decent acceleration from triple, with torque up to 180 Nm, enough for Onix to be competitive with some 1·6s. Blacked-out features and red trim for Redline appearance package. Claimed fuel consumption as low as 4·9 ℓ/100 km. Four-door sold in Brazil as Onix Plus; hatchback, on sale November 2019, was the “regular” Onix. SKD production from 2023 in Kostanay, Uzbekistan.
