GM replaced the second-generation Cruze in China with nameplate borrowed from the US market, rivalling the Ford Escort (C490), and supposedly taking some of the deleted Buick Excelle’s market as GM attempted to take that brand upmarket. Slotted under the latest Cruze. Typical Chevrolet grille and interior design; LED taillights; wheelbase at 2,600 mm. Well equipped with automatic start–stop, body stability control, reversing camera and radar. Never really succeeded in replacing the Excelle, probably due to the unfamiliar (to China) nameplate.
