All-new Cruze on GM’s D2XX platform, on sale in China first and complementing the previous model (renamed Cruze Classic). Base engine the 1·5, delivering 84 kW, while turbo 1·4 gets 110 kW. Lighter than predecessor and seven-speed dual-clutch transmission on offer for turbocharged model. Interior tech on a par with Ford Focus Mk III; rear headroom more limited and use of storage space not quite as clever. Related to the Mexican-built model with the same name.
