Renamed version of Dong-A Korando, built under licence from [[AMC]]. In 1996, Ssangyong replaced the original [[Jeep]]-based model with a modernized SUV of its own design, though it still had Jeep-like proportions. With the company experiencing difficulties in the mid-2000s, the Korando eventually disappeared, but the name was revived in 2010 for a new compact SUV.
