Ssangyong Korando Family (쌍용 코란도 훼미리). 1988–97 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 2238, 2498 cm³ diesel (I4 OHV), 2559 cm³ (I4 OHC), 2874 cm³ diesel (I5 OHC). Now a model line of its own, rather than a variant of the Jeep-based Korando range. Boxy, modern SUV, licensed version of Isuzu Rodeo Bighorn, launched December 1988. Initially with 73 hp Isuzu engine, then 79 hp Peugeot XD3P from 1991. Petrol engines from Isuzu; later a diesel from Mercedes-Benz when Ssangyong made an agreement to share technology with the German firm. New Family from 1994.
