Scion iA.jpg

Scion iA. 2015–16 (prod. 7,605 sold in 2015). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1496 cm³ (I4 DOHC). OEM version of Mazda Demio (DJ) four-door built for Toyota’s US youth-oriented brand, as its entry-level model, but other than the grille, a Mazda product, right down to the switchgear, infotainment unit and even typeface on the dials. Well equipped with active safety equipment, light, and a good ride, despite some body roll at the limit. Became the Toyota Yaris iA when Toyota killed the Scion marque, starting model year 2017.

Manufacturing location: México

Marque: Scion | Successor: Toyota Yaris (2016–20)
