Mitsubishi Eclipse. 1990–4 (prod. n/a). 3-door coupé. F/F, F/A, 1755 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1997 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Launched in 1989 for the 1990 model year in the US. Attractive small coupé with E30 Galant components (used for the four-wheel-drive model). Two-litre turbo a good performer, but overall, not as sporting as looks suggested. Facelift to fixed headlamps for 1992 model year in the US; hidden headlamps remained on Japanese models. US models to 1994 model year only; sold in Japan till 1995. Virtually identical to Eagle Talon (1990–4) and Plymouth Laser.
