Ford LTD. 1966–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2- and 4-door hardtop sedan. F/R, 289, 302, 352, 390, 427, 428 in³ (V8 OHV). Top Galaxie spun off into its own model, initially two hardtop sedans, but the four-door pillared sedan was added in 1968. Base engine was the 289, replaced by the 302 for 1968, when the range was facelifted and gained “hideaway” horizontal headlamps. Refined, though hardly agile, and the Brougham trim for 1968 was even more posh.
