Citroën C3 (A51/SC). 2009–20 (prod. 1,300,000 to May 2015). 5-door saloon. F/F, 999, 1199 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1124, 1360, 1449 cm³ petrol, 1398 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1397, 1587, 1598 cm³ petrol, 1560 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Evolutionary, more solid styling for second-generation C3; notable for its panoramic windscreen, cutting into the roof. Shown at Frankfurt IAA in 2009. Stylish, spacious, with good steering, but dull dynamically. Facelift for 2013, shown first in Brazil in 2012, then at Salon de Genève 2013, with three-cylinder engines from the Peugeot 208 (A9) introduced, and some standard-equipment upgrades. French production to 2016. Brazilian production to 2020, replaced by Indian-designed, locally built model.
