Supermini with retromodern styling meant to recall the Citroën 2CV, first complemented by a convertible model that could be configured with different body styles called the Pluriel. Citroën also created a small Picasso MPV based around the C3, and, for China, a SUV-like model called the XR. An Indian C3 was announced in 2021, with a 2022 on-sale date and an electric model called the ë-C3 in 2023. A related fourth generation for Europe appeared in 2023, also called ë-C3, with exclusively electric motors.
