Citroën C3 (FC/FN/HB/A8). 2002–11 (prod. over 2,250,150). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1124, 1360 cm³ petrol, 1399 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1360, 1587 cm³ petrol, 1560 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Peugeot 207-platform saloon with a “retromodern” style (by Donato Coco and Jean-Pierre Ploué) that harked back to the Citroën 2CV. Round shape didn’t help interior space, though the upright cabin was easy to get into. Good ride at lower speeds, less so at higher ones. Light steering. Mid-term changes (2005) helped with handling and interior quality. French production to 2009, Brazilian production to the end of 2011. Also spawned the Citroën C3 Picasso and the Pluriel.
