From AutocadeOldsmobile Cutlass Supreme (A-special/G-body). 1978–88 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé, 2-door 2+2 fastback coupé. F/R, 3790 cm³ petrol, 4280 cm³ diesel (V6 OHV), 4268, 4387, 4999, 5031, 5734 cm³ petrol, 5737 cm³ diesel (V8 OHV). Oldsmobile version of downsized personal–luxury A-specials, on the same wheelbase as regular Cutlass but less rear seat space. One of the best of this type of car in the US at the time, similar to its corporate twin, the Buick Regal (1978–87). Facelift in 1981, with shovel nose. In 1982, with the FWD Cutlass Ciera taking over mid-size duties, the RWD Cutlass sedan and wagon were absorbed into the Supreme line. Wagon deleted after 1983 model year, sedan deleted 1987. Coupé called Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic for its final year.
