Even more sporting and confident S60, styled by Steve Mattin. Coupé-like silhouette quite roomy, despite expectations, and vehicle was promoted heavily with its main party trick: a pedestrian detection system that can stop the car at low speed. Not that sporty behind the wheel, but well engineered. Related to various Fords and developed under the American company’s stewardship, though launched after Volvo was sold to Geely. LWB model (S60L) from 2014, made in China, with exports to US as S60 Inscription—the first notable export from China to that country. Raised-height Cross Country model (V429) from 2015.
