Sister car to SEAT Ibiza (6F), and longer, wider and lower than outgoing model. Wheelbase up 92 mm. Huge gains in refinement, and excellent perceived quality, though some hard plastics in interior. Standard 6½ in touchscreen at launch, with 8 in optional, and 11·7 in digital instrument panel also optional; despite the tech, no USB port at this stage. Gearchange slightly notchy on manuals and not the quickest-shifting on automatics; steering light for manœuvrability.
