VAM Lerma. 1981–3 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan. F/R, 4616 cm³ (I6 OHV). Amalgam of AMC Concord and AMC Spirit, unique to Mexican AMC licensee, and positioned as a luxury model. Never adopted north of the border, and seen in México as a national car. VAM fell victim to economic recession, and Renault, which took over, cancelled the passenger car line to focus on Jeeps.
