Roewe (榮威/荣威) 360. 2015–19 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1399, 1498 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Smart, compact sedan, positioned as a more premium product than 350, targeting the likes of Ford Escort (C490) and Buick Excelle GT (2015–23), both joint-venture designs with foreign input. Two engines at launch: 1·5 at base, with a 1·4 turbo, nearly identical to that in Chevrolet Cruze (2014–19), generating 115 kW for top models. Eight-inch screen on the dashboard suited Chinese buyers’ love of gadgetry; its appearance was considered more appealing for younger buyers. Better use of space than Excelle. Smooth seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox for turbo. Ride not class-leading. MacPherson struts at front, torsion beam suspension at rear, geared for comfort as expected of Chinese cars in this sector; handling and braking were par for the course, neither helped by the soft suspension settings.
