Dull, Samsung-developed SUV on Nissan X-trail platform never set hearts on fire when launched, but Renault fielded it as its own to have a foothold in the market-place. A second-generation model, slotting above Renault’s Kadjar, again on a shared platform with the X-trail, albeit a newer model, was launched in 2016, rectifying the first model’s styling deficiencies and giving the company a more premium, D-segment SUV. A Geely Xingyue L-based model served as the third generation, the Grand Koleos.
