Renault 6. 1968–86 (prod. 1,500,000 approx.). 5-door saloon. F/F, 845, 956, 1037, 1108, 1289, 1397 cm³ (I4 OHV). Small Renault bridging the gap between the utilitarian 4 and the larger 16, and competing with the Citroën Dyane. On the 4 platform, so rugged underneath, but more refined and with a better finish. Facelift in 1974 with rectangular headlamps. French production to 1980, though Spanish production till 1986. Colombia and Argentina continued to 1982 and 1984 respectively.
