Well equipped “compact” with good handling, thanks to fully independent suspension, MacPherson struts at front and multi-link at rear. V6 from Pontiac Montana (1999–2005) optional. Ecotec 2·2 from 2002. Interior disappointing, and still behind Japanese brands on build quality. Related to Oldsmobile Alero and Chevrolet Malibu (1997–2003). Last car made at the old Fisher body plant in Lansing.
