Pontiac G6. 2005–10 (prod. 676,085 sold in US). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 2-door coupé–convertible. F/F, 2384 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 3498, 3880 cm³ (V6 OHV), 3564 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Pontiac’s mid-sizer on the Opel Vectra C platform, replacing successful if dull Grand Am. Meant to be the brand’s volume entry, and more sporting than predecessor—but suffered from lifeless steering, average handling and heavy weight. Much nicer inside, and roomy, thanks to long wheelbase shared with Chevrolet Malibu Maxx.
