First rear-wheel-drive Olds since the last Custom Cruiser. Last new Oldsmobile line. Last models with ‘Final 500’ designation as Oldsmobile brand axed. Stiffer suspension than Chevy, and better handling; also more refined in terms of road noise. Sheetmetal, unique to this model, revised for Buick and Saab successors.
