From AutocadeMazda Capella Wagon (GV). 1994–7 (prod. n/a). 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1789, 1998 cm³ petrol, 1998 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC). With Japanese interest in station wagons—as opposed to vans—rising, Mazda updated its Capella Cargo and renamed it Capella Wagon. The same as GD for the most part, apart from revised front and rear ends, giving GV some modernity alongside newer GE sedans. The result was incongruous, but, as with Telstar twin, it kept Mazda in the wagon market. Four-wheel-drive models with raised ride height, in an attempt to capture Japanese interest in recreational vehicles. Replaced in commercial market by Nissan-made Familia Van.
