Maxi 2. 1980–1 (prod. 28,213). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1748 cm³ (I4 OHC). Since 1977, Maxi was without a marque, officially. Minor cosmetic changes somehow brought Maxi a new badge. Austin Morris badge up front, new bumpers (black in 1981) and new trim levels, but otherwise identical to the 1969–80 edition of the earlier car. Brochures simply called it the Maxi 2 but a few references state Leyland Maxi 2.
