Lexus guns for Audi A3 (8P) and BMW 1er-Reihe with its first premium compact hatchback, hoping to differentiate with Toyota Prius-style hybrid drivetrain. Overstyled and not that attractive. Weightier steering and more performance concessions than Prius, but dated interior and so-so refinement let down the package.
