From AutocadeHolden Statesman (WM). 2006–10 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3564 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 5967 cm³ (V8 OHV). With the introduction of the new Commodore, Holden also released its long-wheelbase Statesman and Caprice, which, for the first time, received unique, longer rear doors. With an eye on Middle Eastern sales—the LWB variants would be called Chevrolet Caprice there—Holden had the budget to create more distinctive models. ESP, LED tail-lights, six airbags, front and rear parking sonar, and smooth automatic gearboxes (five-speed for V6, six-speed for V8). High quality and good dynamics despite size, though not as agile as European rivals. Eventually absorbed into Caprice range in 2010 when Series II revisions announced, with Caprice V6 taking over as the base model.
