Holden Statesman (HX). 1976–7 (prod. 110,669 all HX). 4-door sedan. F/R, 5047 cm³ (V8 OHV). Facelifted HJ, with horizontal slats on grille to distinguish it from lesser HXs, and the introduction of AC Delco anti-lock for the rear drum brakes. The V8 was retuned to meet pollution laws, reducing exhaust emissions. Better trim and improved specification for de Ville, while Caprice had the option of central locking. More gauges, remote control exterior mirror, and power aerials among the improvements.
