From AutocadeHolden (FJ). 1953–6 (prod. 169,969 all versions). 4-door sedan, 2-door panel van, 2-door utility. F/R, 132½ in³ (I6 OHV). Follow-up to successful 48-215, and considered the quintessential Australian car of the mid-1950s. Few changes under the skin, which had more brightwork. Plusher interior and more options available. Marketed very successfully as ‘Australia’s own car’. First Holden model officially exported to New Zealand.
