GAC’s response to the Buick GL8 (2011–), with a similar name, and priced in line with the more established model—a risky move, considering GAC hadn’t been in the MPV market before. Roomy, big powered doors. Not the most refined, and drove similarly to the GAC Trumpchi GS8. Suspension on a par with its chief rivals from Buick and Honda. Renamed M8 in 2020. Continued alongside successor.
