Ford Falcon (XM). 1964–5 (prod. 47,110 sold). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door hardtop coupé. F/R, 144, 170, 200 in³ (I6 OHV). Ford Australia strengthens the Falcon further, with stronger structure and heavy-duty ball joints in suspension among the 1,500 changes. Larger 200 in³ (3·3-litre) engine added, as well as hardtop coupé; new front end instead of the contemporary US refresh, as Australia began doing its own thing.
