Ford Custom. 1969–72 (prod. n/a). 2- and 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 240 in³ (I6 OHV), 302, 351, 390, 400, 429 in³ (V8 OHV). Basic, no-frills full-size car, a step down from Galaxie. Custom 500 slightly more plush. Custom 500 Ranch Wagon was part of this range, but the basic Ranch Wagon, oddly, was detailed in brochures as a separate model, except in 1972. Usually sold to fleets, with soft ride, poor visibility and better-than-average repair record. Refreshed for 1971.
