Full-size, traditional American car with separate chassis, with Panther platform dating back to the Ford LTD of the 1979 model year. Stayed very popular, especially with fleets and law enforcement, throughout its run, but the lack of stability control for the 2012 model year, and its increasingly dated nature, saw an end to the Crown Victoria line for most markets in 2011. A few 2012s left the Canadian factory for export.
