Citroën 3CV.jpg

Citroën 3CV. 1965–80 (prod. over 76,164). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 602 cm³ (F2 OHV). Citroën 2CV with the Ami’s 602 cm³ engine, originally done in Belgium with limited exports, then from 1969, made in Argentina, with the basic 2CV retaining the 425 cm³ unit there until 1972. Conventional doors, as opposed to front suicide doors that were on Argentinian 2CVs at the time, and a different roof release system; also different taillights and indicators. It was actually a more honest designation, since the larger engine would have put the car into the 3CV class in France. The 1973 3CV Prestige added an opening fifth door from the Dyane, essentially a facsimile of the AX-330 from Chile. A lightly restyled version in 1978 was dubbed the 3CV M 28.

Manufacturing location: Argentina

Marque: Citroën | Successor: IES 3CV
