1983 Chrysler Cordoba.jpg

Chrysler Cordoba. 1980–3 (prod. 90,000 approx). 2-door coupé. F/R, 3687 cm³ (I6 OHV), 5210 cm³ (V8 OHV). Downsized Cordoba, now a J-body twinned with Dodge Mirada and related to the Chrysler LeBaron (1977–81)—in turn related to the Dodge Aspen and Plymouth Volaré. Never much more than a LeBaron coupé in these final three years, and hardly as successful as predecessor. Enlarged opera window standard, though could be specified with Landau vinyl roof. Weight saving of 400 lb but still considered out of step with 1980s’ America.

Manufacturing location: Windsor, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Chrysler | Model: Chrysler Cordoba | Predecessor: Chrysler Cordoba (1975–9)
