Chevrolet Camaro
From AutocadeGM’s response to the success of the Ford Mustang. Although Chevrolet already had the Corvair Monza, it proved costly to build, and the Camaro was conceived using a similar recipe to Ford’s: take a compact (in this case the Chevy II), and put a long-hood, short-deck sports body on it.
