Chery Tiggo (奇瑞 瑞虎)/Chery Tiggo 3. 2005 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1499, 1597, 1598, 1845, 1971, 1997 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Chery copy of the Toyota RAV4 (CA20W), with very similar door handles, glasshouse, bumpers and mirrors, although front end was different. Shenyang–Mitsubishi engines initially; self-developed units followed. Scored poorly in ANCAP testing. Known also as T11 and Tiggo FL. Facelift in 2011. Tiggo 3, a facelifted version of this model, shown in 2014, and ran alongside the 2011-style Tiggo. Upgraded Tiggo 3, designed under James Hope and his team, looking less like a Toyota RAV4 clone, from 2016, with contrasting roof colour and completely revised interior—very successful for Chery on launch, netting 10,039 sales in its first month (May 2016). Still going at the end of the decade, with 2020 model year (from 2019) Tiggo 3s getting a 1·5-litre engine.
